Many parents are keen to have information about the school's VCE results. The outcomes for Princes Hill VCE students over many years has been outstanding.

Completion and Retention Rate
Of all students enrolled at the start of the year, 89% completed their studies. This demonstrates that the school succeeds in its encouragement of all students to complete their schooling. In 2009 our year 7 to 12 real retention rate was at 75%, at least 20 percentage points above the state mean. When students elect to come to Princes Hill they invariably enjoy the experience, elect to stay, and find the support to achieve as students while they are here.

Pass Rate
Of all students completing studies 97% completed VCE. This shows that the school succeeds with all its students, not just the more able.

Study Scores
Department of Education data demonstrates that for the past five years, Princes Hill Secondary College has sustained very high levels of VCE results across all subjects against any comparable school in the state. Our all study score consistently sits at the 31 mark, and we have in recent years had between 6 to 9% of our students achieve study scores above 40 across all subjects.

Tertiary Placement
Of all students completing studies 90% gained a tertiary studies place. This shows that the vast majority of our students continue on to further study and as the chart shows, most of these find a place in their first choice of course.

As a school with an open enrolment policy, Princes Hill Secondary College is very successful in ensuring that all students who enrol at the College will have the best opportunity to complete their VCE and proceed to the further studies and careers of their choice.
