School Charges

The Department of Education provides funding to all Goverment schools to provide core curriculum programs. The School Council has determined to limit additional core costs to those outlined below. Please note that families who are eligible for Educational Maintenance Allowance [EMA] support can have these costs covered from the school component of these grants.

 

Personal Materials

11 & 12	$85.00

This charge is for provision of personal materials such as the school diary, Yearbook, Sport and Computer costs which the Department has specified that parents can be expected to pay. If you receive EMA this can be deducted from the school component of that grant.

Classroom Materials

This is a voluntary charge which is used to purchase materials which would otherwise have to be placed on booklists at a very much greater cost.

The only additional costs to families of students in years 7-10 are those related to personal textbooks, excursions & incursions and special programs such as Camps and Instrumental Music.

There are additional charges for VCE subjects and VET courses.
