The Year 7 Orientation Camp is an essential experience for incoming students. The goals of the camp are to strengthen connections between students and teachers and to support students in the transition from their various Primary Schools to PHSC. The camp takes place at the Mirimbah campus and is a week long program featuring bush walking, horse riding, swimming, and team building activities

In Year 8, students have the option of attending a Cross Country Ski Camp. Also based at Mirimbah, students travel to Mount Stirling each day and work with qualified ski instructors.

Instrumental Music Program

All students have the option of enrolling the Instrumental Music Program. Prior experience not necessary! This program aims to expose students to the many benefits of participating in a vibrant, energetic and practical music education experience. The PHSC Instrumental Music Program is an ensemble-based program.  Instrumental Music students are members of one or more ensembles and enrol in instrumental lessons to support their involvement in their ensemble(s). Students gain much benefit from participating in shared music making.
